Exploring a smarter energy and water future begins with education. That’s why Itron and Discovery Education have been working together since 2018 to improve energy-water literacy, encourage conservation and inspire future innovators with Conservation Station. Alongside Itron Inspire 2023, Itron and Discovery Education are celebrating the third annual Week of Resourcefulness by launching a new round of interactive educational program activities and videos. Led by our commitment to corporate purpose and social responsibility, we hope you will take a moment to explore these resources and share with your own communities to help inspire a more resourceful and sustainable world.

The Week of Resourcefulness is built around Itron’s mission to positively impact the communities we serve , and to date, the program has reached well over 2.5 million students worldwide. 

New Educational Resources 
We are proud to announce the release of two new Digital Lesson Bundles for this year's Week of Resourcefulness celebration. Featuring Dan Evans, director of product management, smart cities, and Becca Jones, senior product marketing manager, each lesson bundle includes student-focused interactive videos and activities that focus on innovation, conservation, professional mentorship, and sustainable developments for the future. These newly developed tools and resources were designed to help educators inspire students to engage in sustainability through education and action wherever learning is taking place. Students and educational communities can explore these resources to learn more about global energy-water challenges, smart city innovations and the possibilities to create more resourceful communities of the future.

Powering Purpose
Creating resourceful communities is what we do best at Itron, and putting purpose into action is a great way to get involved. Here are a few fun ways you can take action and help power positive impact in your communities:

• Explore and share the Conservation Station education program within your local and social communities.
• Volunteer to mentor students and help them explore career pathways in our industry with educational program resources and activities.
• Lead or participate in a resourceful Itron Gives volunteer or Itron Fit wellness activity and share photos on social channels with #ConservationStation, #WeekofResourcefulness, #ItronCSR.
