Itron Recognized for Fostering a Positive Workplace

January 23, 2024

At Itron, we are committed to creating an environment where our employees feel supported, can show up as their most authentic selves and are empowered to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We are thrilled to share our recent recognition for doing exactly that in the U.S. News and World Report’s list of Best Companies to Work For in 2024 as well as Newsweek’s lists of America’s Greatest Workplaces of 2023 and Greatest Workplaces for Parents & Families 2023.

Itron’s inclusion on these lists reinforces our commitment to fostering a positive workplace experience for our employees. We recognize that a positive workplace is key to attracting a talented workforce, meeting the needs of our customers and accelerating the innovation of our solutions. These efforts are ongoing as we continue to find new ways to invest in our employees and create opportunities to celebrate the unique contributions each individual brings to the table. Prioritizing Itron’s culture and the wellbeing of our employees is vital to fulfill our company’s purpose of creating a more resourceful world.

While the term "best" is subjective when it comes to career satisfaction, there are certain universal attributes that make a workplace desirable, such as a healthy work-life balance, chances for professional growth and progression and competitive salaries. These are just a few of the characteristics U.S. News and World Report evaluated when calculating the ranking of the 845 companies on the list of Best Companies to Work For in 2024. The list evaluated public companies in the Russell 1000 index as of June 2022 and companies with a minimum of 75 U.S.-based Glassdoor reviews. Itron’s feature is available here and an in-depth explanation of U.S. News’ methodology can be accessed here

With over 5,000 employees working together to help utilities and cities better manage energy and water, creating a positive culture is foundational to everything we do at Itron. Newsweek’s list of America's Greatest Workplaces 2023 was developed in collaboration with a market data research firm and includes the top 1,000 companies that were evaluated based on company image, corporate culture, working environment, work-life balance, training and career progression, compensation and benefits, sustainability awareness and proactive management of a diverse workforce. Learn more about the methodology behind America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023 here and access the full list of companies here. Similarly, Newsweek’s list of Greatest Places for Parents & Families was developed in collaboration with the same market data research firm and identifies the top 800 companies evaluated based on company image, corporate culture, working environment, work-life balance and more for parents, single parents and families. The full list of companies that made the list as well as a breakdown of Newsweek’s methodology can be accessed here.

Itron is honored to be included on these lists as a testament to the accomplishments we have made in creating an engaging workplace for our employees. Looking for an opportunity to join the team? Learn more about career opportunities at www.itron.com/careers.
