Doug Richardson was named senior vice president of Itron’s Customer Success organization in April 2025. In this role, he is responsible for engaging with Itron’s customers to increase the level and cohesiveness of Itron’s services, improving the rate of technology adoption amongst customers and proactively understanding customers’ needs to advance their business objectives.

Doug has more than 25 years of experience as a leader in technology and information management services. Since joining Itron in February 2016, Doug has served in several corporate business operations and product business unit positions. In addition, Doug led Itron’s Information Technology organization from 2020 to 2022. Doug was instrumental in the acquisition and integration of Silver Spring Networks in 2018 and Elpis Squared in 2024. Most recently, Doug has led strategic partnerships and driven improvements to the third-party ecosystem associated with Itron’s Grid Edge Intelligence portfolio.

Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Texas State University.
