DISTRIBUTECH: "A deep dive into AMI 2.0: Applications and network needs"

Join us on March 26th from 3:00 - 3:50 PM!

The presentation will go through some of the new applications developed for the second generation of smart meters in the North American utility market which are now being rolled out in millions of units every year. These applications go well beyond the original meter-to-cash functions of AMI 1.0. In AMI 2.0— the smart meters act as grid edge intelligence control nodes in a two-way distribution grid hosting a dynamic set of applications to support an ever-increasing uptake of solar, EV charging, and demand response use cases at the consumer household. We’ll show the new network requirements coming from some of these applications and how private cellular networks can play an important part in fulfilling their needs.
