Analytics and Advanced Applications are Transforming the Smart Grid and Networks
Earlier this week, we talked about the upcoming Itron Utility Week (IUW) and two of our exciting conference tracks focusing on data management and mobile and measurement solutions. During this event, interested attendees will also have the opportunity to dig in more on the impact of analytics and advanced applications through 34 sessions focusing on this timely and important topic.
The Active Grid is much more than smart metering and it’s even more than the smart grid. It encompasses electricity, gas, water and smart cities—and opens up an entirely new frontier for better management of energy and water resources. During the analytics and advanced applications sessions, attendees will discover how analytics and advanced applications are helping to transform the smart grid into an active grid across electricity, gas and water. Through revolutionary approaches to energy and water management, intelligent applications can respond to changing conditions in real time.
Sessions in this track address distributed intelligence, analytics, distributed energy management, forecasting, smart payment, renewables integration, consumer engagement, and outcome-based services and solutions for utilities, cities and third-party providers across the globe. Attendees will learn best practices for analytics and other applications from utility peers and discover how to leverage data into actionable information.
As the utility industry’s premier customer-focused event, IUW welcomes 1,000 attendees from a range of industries to connect with peers and learn about the comprehensive solutions offered by Itron and our trusted partners. This year’s event is hosted at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona, Sept. 28 – Oct. 5. Visit www.itron.com/na/events/itron-utility-week to learn more.
Stay tuned for additional blogs throughout the next few weeks—including more information on our fourth and final conference track—as we prepare to kick off IUW 2018!
